Project 1 | Building Awareness

Design is storytelling. We are stories. Everything humans do and experience evolves around some kind of story. It’s the way we contextualize information and experience to make it meaningful. Story is the way that we remember who we are, where we have come from and where we can go.

In this project, I interviewed a fellow designer, Alicia, to gain insight on her unique story. I then synthesized my findings into two metaphors, one through visuals and the other through typography. Using ecological principles, I created a folded orihon style booklet that is a visual representation of her story.

P2 | Encourage Consciousness

This project clarified the kind of work I want to pursue as a designer — work that resonates emotionally, makes people feel seen, and invites them into a deeper sense of connection. It reaffirmed my desire to create pieces that inspire hope, unity, and community. Ultimately, the project strengthened my belief that encouraging consciousness and authenticity is essential to building a more compassionate, joyful future.

P3 | Rippling + Sketches

The Rippling helped us focus on the core of our organization—our message, how we share it, and who we aim to reach. Our goal was to reconnect people with water by reminding U.S. audiences of indigenous traditions that honored and sustained it, hopefully inspiring solutions to today’s water crises. The medium we chose to share this message was a brochure. Our calling intention was: "How do we magnify indigenous practices so we can transform society’s connection to water and restore balance with the web of life?"
